The Surtsey paintings are a body of work on the evolution of a new ecosystem on a volcanic island south of Iceland.With the relationship of man and nature on one hand and art and science on the other as the basis.It is my belief that art has the power to heighten the viewer awareness of his own senses and make him listen to his body and care for the outer nature.
